Imo State governor on Tuesday fired the State Executive Council and 27 local government transition committees. This was according to principal secretary to the governor, Pascal Obi, who revealed this in a statement that their sack take effect immediately. All former members of the executive council were directed to hand over to permanent secretaries or most senior director in their individual ministries. Gunmen suspected to be militants have attacked Igbo-Nla Model College, Epe and kidnapped six children. This is the second time since October last year that kidnappers have invaded the school.
