Femi kuti breaks world record!!!

Femi kuti broke the world record for the longest single note held on Sunday at jump event in Africa shrine Agidingbi,Lagos.

The record stood for 46mins 38seconds breaking the longest single saxophone note set in 1997 by Kenny G  but we are yet to know if he'll get to the Grammy's

Fg recruiting 7,500 graduates as tax officers

The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has disclosed that federal government is currently recruiting 7,500 graduates as Community Tax Liaison Officers (CTLOs) to raise tax awareness among citizens. According to her, the recruits would be expected to go to schools, churches, mosques, markets and other social places to educate people on the tax system and let them know their obligations. She made this known in Abuja at a joint press briefing with the Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, BabaTunde Fowler, on Thursday. Adeosun said that through this initiative, the government is expected to increase the number of taxpayers by 35 percent; ie from 14 million to about 17 million in two years. The Finance Minister added that graduates of accounting, economics, mathematics and other relevant courses would be given priority under the programme. 2 south African communities gives quick notice to Nigerians residing there

Two different south African communities namely Kuruman community in Northern cape province and Klaafonteni community extension 5 Johannesburg have allegedly given Nigerians residing there quick notice.. According to the president of Nigerian Union in south African, Ikechukwu Anyene he said the south African where not happy with Nigerians as they where involved in several social vices such as illicit drug trade and prostitution. “We have also written reports on these incidents and sent to the Nigerian Mission and  the South African police. “We recommended interventions before the June 16 deadline to the mission and we are waiting for their response. “The union is worried that any incident involving non South Africans are attributed to Nigerians,” he said. Also the klaafonteni community have directed landlords not to renew their rent while the kuruman community in North cape province gave Nigerians 16th June to leave their community.

Why I have not sued Wizkid – Babymama

Binta Diallo the second baby mama to popular musician, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, also known as Wizkid, yesterday explained why she has not sued the singer for allegedly being a responsible father to their son, Junior. According to her, she wanted to sue him but his family begged her to opt for an out of court settlement in order not to create immigration problems for him. DAILY POST reports that Diallo had earlier called out the singer for not paying their son’s school fees after Wizkid tweeted that he planned to build public schools across Africa.
