A 35-year-old man, Isaiah Abadia, has been arraigned in a Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly pouring urine on a woman. The suspect is facing two-count charge of assault and public nuisance. The police prosecutor, Fidelis Ogbobe , had earlier told the court that the complainant, Miss Jimoh Ozochi, of Lugbe reported the matter at Garki Police Station on June 19. Ogbobe said that the incident happened same day in Area 1, Garki. He said that the complainant alleged that while she was passing along Area 1, Garki, the defendant threw a plastic leather bag containing urine and food remnants on her. Ogbobe said, “He took to his heels after that until he was chased and arrested.” The prosecutor explained further that the offences contravene Sections 265 and 198 of Penal Code. Senate propose bill to work on hike in house rent The Senate is working on a bill that will check the incessant increase in house rents in Abuja and other parts of Nigeria, the Senate Committee Chairman on Federal Capital Territory, Senator Dino Melaye, has said. He stated that the ‘Rent Edit’ bill would protect tenants and landlords even as he promised that lawmakers would ensure the passage of the bill before the end of the 8th Senate. Melaye disclosed this in a statement issued by the Director of Information at the housing arm of the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, Mrs Eno Olotu, in Abuja, on Wednesday. Kemi Olunloyo Rearrested She broke the news on facebook herself. below is the write up and screenshot  I may be rearrested . My magistrate bail of N200 K was not perfected . The prison says the warrant was cancelled. Judicial error. My lawyers have to perfect the bail now . The complainant is suing me in both courts SIGH. Media will pounce on this ! So unfair !! They need a prison official here for a probable cause. I am already in Federal high court which should supersede magistrate. Prison officials need that court order inviting them to court.
