Latest on students abducted in Lagos

Parents of the six Abducted senior secondary students kidnapped last week Thursday by kidnapers at Lagos model college Epe met yesterday with the school management to deliberate on the way of raising the ransom demanded by the kidnappers

There was a clash on the amount to be paid while others where asked to pay between 20million to 50million.Others where asked to pay less


Tho the school management was not willing to totally cooperate with the parents as they insisted to cooperate with the state government

Kogi electorates file suit to remove Yahaya Bello as governor

Some electorate in Kogi have approached a Federal High Court in Abuja to declare the return and swearing-in of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the governor of Kogi as null and void. The suit, number FHC/ABJ/C3/535/ /2017, was filed before Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court 3, Abuja. This is contained in court documents made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Lokoja. Mr Michael Elokun, Mr Ibrahim Sule and Mrs Hawa Adamu approached the court on behalf of all registered voters in Kogi. Other defendants in the suit are: the All Progressives Party (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as well as the Minister of Justice and the Attorney-General of the Federation. In the originating summon supported by a 19-paragraph affidavit, the petitioners are asking the court to remove the governor on grounds that he is not a registered voter in Kogi. Pat Utomi, co-founder of Lagos Business School and Pan Atlantic University, has urged groups in the country to find ways to halt Nigeria’s impending anarchy.
