Spicy: Man dies after taking 3litres of vodka

A man died after taking part in the " who can drink more vodka" contest organised by a supetmarket in Russia.

The strange contest had taken place in the city of volgodonsk in southwest Russia and was organised by a local Supermarket called saveily.

A total of 40men took part in the drinking competition with 4 participants rushing to the intensive care unit and one dying.

Bread and salami where offered by the shop to line the stomach of the men,with the winner promised 10bottles of vodka as price.

Doctor Mikhail Kravchenko said about the deceased participant: “He managed to drink about three litres of vodka, which most likely wouldn’t have ended in death if it was a normal person.”
Vice regional prosecutor Sergey Labenets said it is possible that the organisers of the event will escape punishment as participants joined in on a voluntary basis.

Police are however believed to have started a criminal case against the shop for negligence and violating the advertising law.

Bode George advises osbibanjo over Biafra issue

The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has been advised by a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Bode George, to invite former President Olusegun Obasanjo and a former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, and other elder statesmen to an emergency meeting over the increasing secessionist agitations.
