Moshood Abiola polytechnic to become a university




The National Universities Commission, NUC, has approved the change of Ogun State-owned institution, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to a University.
Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of National Universities Commission, Abubakar Rasheed, announced the approval of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to Moshood Abiola University of Technology.
The Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology becomes the 85th public University and 153rd university in Nigeria.

Bode George advises osbibanjo over Biafra issue

The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has been advised by a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Bode George, to invite former President Olusegun Obasanjo and a former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, and other elder statesmen to an emergency meeting over the increasing secessionist agitations. George said this in a statement on Thursday.
