Gunmen kidnapped 6children in Epe Lagos state

Gunmen suspected to be militants have attacked Igbo-Nla Model College, Epe and kidnapped six children.
This is the second time since October last year that kidnappers have invaded the school.
In the earlier incident, gunmen cladding in military camouflages entered the school premises from a hole at the back gate and whisked away pupils and teachers.
Although details of the latest kidnap are still sketchy, it was gathered that security forces have been deployed to comb surrounding bushes for the children

List of Nigerian States owing their workers salary

 A survey by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in the North Central zone has revealed that state governments still owe workers in spite of the bailout funds provided by the Federal Government. The survey also found that all debt-ravaged states that collected the Federal Government intervention fund as well as the Paris Club loan refund still owe some categories of workers salary arrears. In Benue, for example, NAN learnt that the state government owes state and local government workers seven months and 10 months’ salary arrears respectively. They were said to have received salaries last in May 2017 and February 2017. Sources at the state Ministry of Finance indicated that the state government had received N12.5 million and N6.8 billion in the first and second instalments of the Paris Club refund. Gov. Popular Nigerian ‘Superstar’ singer, Speed Darlington has taken to Instagram to voice out about not getting at least ‘one sex’ out of his bangdadadang’s popularity. According to him he thought popularity comes with ‘asses being thrown at him’, as he complained why it is  different in his own case. He however said that he’s been getting some in his inbox, but they are 5000 miles away and ‘his thing ain’t that long to go such distance because he’s barely 9 inches’.

More than 10,000 candidates caught cheating in Anambra-JAMB

The Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) said that more than 10,000 candidates caught for examination malpractices in the ongoing UTME in Anambra have been handed over to appropriate authority. Lynda Nwachukwu, the Coordinator of the board in Anambra, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Saturday. NAN reports that the all computer-based testing (CBT) mode 2017 UTME, which started on May 13 in 642 centres nationwide, ended on May 20. Ms. Nwachukwu said the examination, which took place in 28 centres in the state, was successful. “There was no disruption of the exercise in any of the examination centres,’’ she said. The coordinator said the candidates adhered strictly to the requirements of the examination, adding that JAMB provided all the materials required for the examination.
